New in Version 14

The videos below show some of the enhancements made to the Maxsurf suite in version 14.

Maxsurf Curves (Part 1)
This movie introduces maxsurf curves.  How to add a data point curve, a control point curve, a linear curve and a circle is demonstrated.   play
Maxsurf Curves (Part 2)
Maxsurf Curves Part 2 demonstrates how to edit a curves properties and use a curve to trim a surface.  An example of trimming a stepped deck into a topside surface is demonstrated.   play
Create 4 Sided Patch
The "Create a 4 Sided Patch" function will be demonstrated in this movie.  A surface will be generated from 4 curves defining the transom, deck edge, keel and stem of the hull.
  play
Surface Skinning
In this movie a surface is created from a lines plan.  A body plan .jpg image is loaded as a background.  Each of the sections are digitized in as a Maxsurf curve.  The Skin Surface command is then used across the section curves to create a hull surface.   play
Drawing Settings Dialog
In this movie the new drawing settings dialog is explained.  The dialog contains settings for the drawing grid and object snap options.   play
Swept Surfaces
This movie shows how to create a swept surface from two curves.  The curves are drawn, a "Trajectory curve" and a "Section curve".  The surface is then created by sweeping the Section curve along the Trajectory curve.   play
Extrude Surface command
This video explains how to create an extruded surface from either a Maxsurf curve or a surface contour.   play
